Barbara Jean Smith, age 81, was called home to be with the Lord on February 15, 2019. She was a lifelong resident of Saraland, AL. She was retired from Scott Paper Company and loved working in her yard, the casinos and spending quality time with her family. Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Debra Smith Harrington (John), Sandra Jean Gee and son, Ralph Wesley Smith, Jr. (Alison). She is also survived by her grandchildren; Ashley H. Swain (Alex), Brett E. Harrington, Chelsea N. Gee, Savannah B. Gee, and Christian J. Schrull, four great-grandchildren; Hayleigh Parnell; Mallory Swain, Dalton Swain, Ansley Grace Swain; two sisters, Jane Barber, Perdido Beach, AL; JoEllen Peters, Pensacola, FL; brother, Lee Johnson, Pensacola, FL, nieces, nephews, other relatives; as well as her dearest friend of 44 years, Pat Johnson and other beloved friends. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, AL on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be John Harrington, Jr., Brett Harrington, Jimmy Ellis, Alex Swain, Blake Williams and Curt Gaouette.
